I have left the host directory entry at "/" on advice from the godaddy website with dreamweaver. For those who are viewing this post, I am using filezilla. And there's no problem having both a Testing server and Remote server configured. It sounds like somehow, somewhere, something did change. As far as I know, nothing has changed from a couple of days ago, when it was working fine. Try to change your password. hop over to this website
I ended up downloading the program CuteFTP which has connected fine without any errors... So I spent hours on this and the simple fix was just plugging in to the wall vs using WiFi at this office I'm in. Go Daddy have 3 variations of usernames just to confuse you should you start trying everything possible to connect. Interesting re wifi versus wired. Ensure that you have entered the right username, port, password, and host 2. did you ever figure out the dreamweaver ftp problem? My problem stems from my not being able to connect to the server and therefore not being able to upload ftp pages. A tech specialist from adobe is scheduled to call me back. Seems to depend on how the host server is configured.I had this problem erratically since 10.5, but not so bad as to interrupt work in any meaningful sense.
