I also noticed that you have an element (a site?) that starts with the "_". I could fix the problem by hacking the AllDocs and WebParts table, but my WSS 3.0 is in an unsupported state now. But we can always reset this back to the Site Definition and restore it to it's original state.  Be sure to check out the file via SPD or the Site Content
