If graphic files are placed directly in an anchored frame instead of importing by reference, the file somehow becomes misplaced. So I have to stay with it... Our shop runs FM 7.0.

The workarounds that most people are using are backing out of SP3, which doesn't seem to be an option for you or converting the imported objects to graphic files and importing fwiw, is there any reason you haven't updated to the latest version of 7.2 (p158)?
